Let's get this thing started
I'm going to actually try to get this blog rolling...and I will try to get a blog post out at least three times a week. It might happen for the first week or couple of weeks, but I tend to trail off and get lost in the busyness of every day life. :( LAME! So, I work at a pet store...with lots of really lame managers. I feel like they are constantly up my ass about something, but I think that's just what managers are supposed to do. I feel like some of their concerns shouldn't be something they are worried about though, such as keeping a drink in the clock in office instead of the break room. People get thirsty! Aren't we supposed to stay hydrated all day? How am I supposed to run all the way back to the break room just to get a sip of water when there are plenty of customers around?! The clock in room is much easier to get to...and that is why I hide my drinks in there. I don't really know why I'm talking about this...but I know my job will be a large point in my blogs so I figured I might as well introduce it. I feel so awkward writing a blog... I know I probably won't get any readers minus the people who might happen to stumble across my page, but even those stumblers I don't think would make it a point to come back. I think I may just start another new blog...lol :) I'm good at that at least...and perhaps I can think of more things that are more worthwhile to say...I just don't really want my blog to be found by the people who actually know me. :P

Zombies!
When I saw this prompt I giggled to myself. I used to go to a different college and I met this guy who was pretty much all about zombies and the zombie apocalypse...this guy eventually became my boyfriend (whom I now live with), so I'm pretty much all set. That's not all of it though; before we were together I tried to find things to do/read up on so we would have stuff to talk about, so low and behold, I picked up and read the Zombie Survival Guide. Who needs a man to take care of you in the zombie apocalypse, not I...I might act all helpless anyway because who wants to be responsible for protecting abuncha people and killing maneaters...actually, not a bad idea. It'd be a good stress reliever for awhile. Until I realize I'm not good at head shots and the zombies get a little to close for comfort. Oh, and my boyfriend Brian wasn't the biggest zombie fanatic at my school either...there was this guy named Nelson there who was pretty much obsessed with it (okay maybe not obsessed...but he's pretty big on zombies)...so I figure I'll be with them during the Zombie Apocalypse and they will tell me what to do/keep all of us safe. I do want to make sure my fam. is safe first though...then I can be a zombie slayer ^_^. A cool costume is totally necessary...

In defense of my vice: World of warcraft
Blood Elf from World of Warcraft by CavinB
When I first heard of the game through friends that played it I kinda did want to play it, but I didn't have my own computer and my parents would've never let me install that game on their computer (not to mention it would run extremely poorly since we had dial up at the time). So, instead of letting people know I wanted to play it...I did the exact opposite...I acted like I hated the game and I would make fun of my friends who did play it.
Then I went to college...one of the first things I did before going was get a laptop. Well, I met this guy Erik randomly through a friend of mine and one day before class I met up with him. Him and his other friend were playing World of Warcraft, or WoW, and he offered to let me play. At first I declined, as I was used to doing and I said I would just watch, but when he insisted that I make my own character and try it out I decided to give it a chance. My first character was a night elf on Shadowsong...she was a druid. When I got on and made her and ran around doing the starter quests I had sooo much fun! I almost didn't make it to class that day. I ended up buying the game as well as the burning crusade expansion within that week. I ended up playing a draenei pally on the same server for awhile.
Then, I switched over to horde on Skullcrusher where I now have my 80 warlock, Shisama. I'm not exactly sure where I got off wanting to play horde, but I met this guy who went to my college, Owen, who played horde on that server and so I began to play on his server. I also met all his roommates who played...this is how I met my current boyfriend, Brian. After I met Brian, he would run me through lower level instances on his 70 hunter, Kiloo. He would help me out with any quests I had trouble with and everything, we got to know eachother pretty well through WoW alone. Then, since we both went to the same college we started to hang out outside of WoW more too. He would help me out with school work or any other problems I had, and we would go to parties together, etc. That year he graduated, and since he lived 4 hours away we kept the long distance relationship going through WoW. When the next expansion that came out we leveled my lock and his hunter together from 70 to 80 and we would raid together. Now I live with my boyfriend...when I first moved here I still played a lot, but I have cut that down now. I have a job and school that keep me pretty occupied...I still like to play occasionally, but it gets boring. And when I do get sucked into the game all day I feel like I didn't accomplish anything that day...so I feel bad.
So yeah...while it is addicting like people say it is I stand to defend it because I both got to know my boyfriend better through it and stayed with him through the rough patches due to being in a long distance relationship because of it. It is also a fun way to kill time and talk to random people. ^_^
How I'd spend $1,000
Well, I need to learn to drive, so I could pay off my lessons for that. (not what I really want to spend it on...but it's necessary right about now) I would dye my hair platinum blonde finally (I was supposed to get that done this Saturday, but I checked out my current funds and I really can't afford it right now)! I would buy the uber cute dress from MeowKikiClothing that my boyfriend thinks is childish...and I would buy the legwarmers that match it of course. I would pay off my credit card bills. I would buy more bedding and extras for my chinchilla Chuu. I would help out Brian with the bills/rent for the month...and perhaps the TV we are about to get. I think that pretty much covers how I'd spent it...yep...Oh, I would like to get a tattoo for my birthday in April, so I'd do that...and perhaps a tongue piercing...but that's it ^_^;
$1000 would be REALLY nice right about now....
Brian picks on me
I was reading all of the twilight books...I was on Eclipse and my boyfriend used to make fun of me for reading it. So, when I moved in with him I just kinda put it down and never picked it back up. I also need to read two books for class now and I recently bought another book that I started reading, so I am kinda all over the place.
Plink again...
Because it just shows to be more observant about life...and it shows how wonderful the small things can be. You don't need a bunch of bought things to make you happy...all you should need is a moment in time with your friends...when that perfect song is playing...and you just feel infinite. It's a great book, I would definitely recommend this to anyone to read.
Plinky...fun fun fun
There are LOADS of things in my purse...the few I named aren't the half of them. I always get big purses and I bring whatever I care about with me. I don't like leaving things behind... If I could print out every item I wanted to buy on etsy or shanalogic those would be in my purse too...and all the pictures I like of the models Atilla, Mosh, and Rachel Dashae, also all of machine dance, stuntkid, jbaxter, etc. I love all their work and I would love if I had a way to take those with me...as well as anything else that is meaningful to me. I'd bring my laptop if I could...
My sketchbook
I like to draw and I like to have my pictures with me, so in case I ever feel the need to draw something random it is there.
My cell phone
I always like to be in touch with people wherever I am. I live in Roanoke now, so it is nice to be able to be in touch with everyone I know in Newport News whenever they feel like talking to me or I feel like talking to them. It is also good for emergencies or when I want to talk to my boyfriend, Brian, who I live in Roanoke with.
A bag of chocolate
Brian and I went to chocolate paper and I just kinda kept it in there for an emergency chocolate needs. haha I am a girl after all.
The book "I was told there'd be cake" by Sloane Crosley
I recently bought the book from Barnes & Noble and I haven't finished it yet, so any time I get a chance to just sit down and read or if I am waiting for something I have my book. It isn't a novel, it is a book of essays written by her, so I won't have to stop in the middle of a chapter if I can only read for a bit, I will just read a short essay. My favorite so far is the essay about her ponies.
A smashed brownie
The other day we went to a chinese place for take out and nearby is a macallisters deli that is really good so I stopped by and got some sweet tea and some desserts, one being the brownie that I have yet to eat.
Pictures of how I want my hair done
I am going to get my hair bleached on Saturday, so I wanted to be sure to have the pictures of exactly how I want to get it done with me. I want some of the black left in my hair, so I want to be sure they get it right at Onyx.
My ipod
Because I love music and I love to listen to my ipod any chance I get. /dance
Drawing pencils
In case I feel like drawing in the sketchbook I carry around. Also, I use my purse as a backpack when I do have class...so if I just leave them in there I will never have to scrounge around until I find them before my drawing class sometimes.
Soon to have an octupus in my purse
I have had a sudden interest in octopi/octopusses lately...the real ones are cool, and then the cartoony ones all end up uber cute. I've been looking on etsy a lot, and I've seen acouple cute octopusses that I would like to give a home...not sure if I should just get one or more than one so they have friends. Either way I will carry them around in my bag. I get lonely easily and so if I always have a little octopus with me, at least I have someone...it may leave me more open to sitting around and blogging or writing in my journal or drawing, etc. I'm not sure why...and yes I know it is a bit childish...but hey...I don't care. I think childish is cute ^_^.
Birth control
Hmm...I wonder why...
My journal
In case I have one of those chances where I can draw or listen to music, I can also write anything I have to say down.
Hello Kitty notepad
In case I need to remind myself to do something...I can write it on that or my hand.
My agenda
So I don't forget it when I go to class...I write down my work schedule and all my assignments because I can be very forgetful.
My Nintendo Wallet
In case I would like to buy something (of course I would...<----girl) I will have money...or instant money (credit) and then I have all my IDs and gift cards, etc. Nice way to keep everything organized...especially considering I didn't have a wallet before. I also keep a picture of my boyfriend Brian in there ^_^ !!!
